~Silk Road Trip - Turpan(吐魯番)~
Turpan is a dry and extremely hot city in the Xinjiang region. Turpan has been famous for its local grapes and wine, and also for its beautiful villages and sceneries, such as the flaming mountain.

The Tuyugou town is a small village containing rows of Uigur-style houses, with its history dating back to over 2500 years ago. The small town lies at the south foot of Flaming Mountain, and is one of the highlights of the Silk Road trip.

The Flaming Mountain is a popular tourist destination in Turpan, mainly due to its appearance in the classic novel, "Journey to the West"(西遊記). The mountain is barren and hot in summer, which makes the mountain appear red. This is why it is called "The Flaming Mountain".

The local bazaar in Turpan, similar to the one in Urumqi, is a marketplace that sells a variety of products. However, when compared to the bazaar in Urumqi, it is much smaller in size. Nevertheless, these are some photos taken around the bazaar.
