Xi'an is the capital of Shaanxi province in China, also known as Chang'an (長安)in ancient times. It is one of the largest and most developed cities in China. Xi'an has been famous for its number of historical attractions, particularly the Terra Cotta Warriors museum, which dated from the Qin dynasty.

~Terra Cotta Warriors Museum(兵馬俑博物館)~
The Terra Cotta warriors and horses were discovered in 1974 by farmers who intended to drill a water well. The Terra Cotta warriors and horses were buried with Qin Shi Huang in 210-209 BC, which was intended to assist Qin Shi Huang to rule another empire in his afterlife.

The Shadow Puppet tradition dates back from the Song dynasty, and can be arguably the proud ancestor of today's cinemas. All figures in the show are manipulated skillfully by one person only, accompanied by traditional music.
